Position: Content Developer

Job Description:

• carry out project scoping and create a clear brief, in order to ensure you understand what the client wants
• tailor the content and style of individual writing assignments according to their purpose - whether they are intended to sell or inform
• understand your target audience - you´re not writing for the company, you´re writing for their readers, so you´ll need to know what interests them
• identify key messages - understand the main thing that you want the reader to feel and do and how to communicate this powerfully
• work with creative teams to ensure that the visual elements of the webpage complement the words
• research your company industry and their audience
• identify fresh and interesting angles for your articles
• write for web pages, blogs and potentially for social media, e-books, slogans, and video script
• edit your own and others´ writing
• provide other digital content, such as images and video, if required input your content to the client´s content management software (CMS), if required work with your team to review the impact of your work
• Assist with business pitches to win new clients or projects.
• Write high-engagement social media content that reflects our brand’s voice
• Collaborate with Marketing, PR and Customer Experience to develop a variety of content marketing materials
• Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
• Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders

Requirements:

Excellent Language Proficiency

• Knowledge of the structure and content of the desired language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, in addition to advanced reading comprehension skills.

Above Average Communication Skills

• This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media as well as excellent active listening skills.

Media Knowledge

• Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.

Sales and Marketing Techniques

• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics across print and digital is needed along with current trends in product demonstration and sales techniques.

Customer Service

• Ability to provide and knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Clerical Skills

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
• Demonstrated success in managing a business social media presence
• Experience in producing copy for digital, print and broadcast channels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Communicator and Outlook
• Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emoji’s and acronyms
• Solid understanding of SEO concepts preferred
• Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
• Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Experience with SEO
• Strong research skills
• Creativity
• Collaborative spirit
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills

Education Required: First Degree or equivalent
Age: 25 - 35 years old
Basic Salary: B$ 500 / Day
