The Head of Strength & Conditioning functions as Jab Gym’s Head Coach that specializes in Strength & Conditioning. The Head of Strength & Conditioning will report to the Fitness Manager and has to mentor and train the group fitness instructors. The Head of Strength & Conditioning is also expected to work in the following capacity: Curating and development of fitness programs, reviews all Jab Gym instructors’ classes, acts as the Fitness Specialist host, conducts masterclasses and teach classes as fitness instructors.

DESIRED CAPABILITIES:
Candidates should possess and demonstrate the availability of the competencies below:

Technical Skills
• Relevant Fitness Accreditation, preferably in sports or health sciences discipline, e. g. Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Movement Science or other related field
• 3+ yrs experience in Sports Performance coaching
• Recommended participation in commercial or college athletics and the ability to articulate to customers the benefits of sports performance training
• Possess additional certification with a professional Fitness Association
• Has a thorough understanding of human physiology
• Proficiency with MS Office software (especially Powerpoint) and familiarity with team, game, meet management software preferred

Interpersonal Skills
• Proven operational-leadership skills by demonstrating ability to problem solve, streamline and influence stakeholders to work towards a common goal
• Strong relationship management with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders on projects and deadlines
• Proven capabilities by demonstrating ability to coach, guide and instruct team and working collaboratively in a team setting
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively seek to improve business
• Adopt a growth mindset and ability to influence fitness team to pursue learning and coaching culture

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes, but is not limited to):
• Transformational Leadership
• Programming & Development: such as Program Design, External & Internal Development, Preventative & Rehabilitative Programming, Training Platform, Technical Specialist
• Performance & Review: such as Evaluation, Masterclass, Teaching Plan, Instructorship, Instructors’ physical conditioning, Knowledge of appropriate Strength & Conditioning exercises, Conduct Performance Review
• Fitness Leadership: such as Floor Hosting, Fitness Instructor, Equipment Maintenance, Equipment Usage, Values & Culture and Ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned

WORKING HOURS:
• Weekly – 40 Hours
• Weekly Roster Allocation
• Programming & Development + Class Review – 18 Hours
• Masterclass – 2 Hours
• Fitness Instructor (Classes) + PT Sessions – 20 Hours
