Position: Lab Operator

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

- To oversee the entire production process of the plant
- Ensure that the production process runs safely and smoothly and that the plant produces quality results
- Report to supervisor(s) regularly, keeping them updated on quality control activities and progress
- Perform the experimental analyses of the products coming out from each Process Units
- To perform analyses of incoming Crude oils and Packaging materials
- Able to perform basic to complex test of measurement equipment and instruments in order to fulfill complete quality control tasks ensuring acceptability of raw materials, intermediates, in-process parameters and finished products specifications
- Able to perform calibration tests on measurement equipment and devices to ensure accuracy in its use
- Preparing standard analysis samples and solution standards in strict accordance with established methodologies and protocols
- Validate methodologies and write / develop protocols and lab reports
- Maintain lab inventories by controlling in-house stocks, reference standards, chemical reagents & consumables and to support daily lab operation
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of lab and its surrounding areas
- Experienced in ISO9001 and Food Safety Regulation

Qualification and Requirements:

- Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) in Science Technology, Chemical Laboratory Technology.
Qualification in Chemical or Plant Engineering may be considered

- Minimum of at least 2-3 years of experience in production Plant would be an advantage
- Maintains the necessary activities in the framework of work safety and quality standards
- Can adapt to shift hours and flexible working order
- Able to operate effectively in a team
- Work well under pressure and meet strict datelines
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Self-motivated with good communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and details conscious
Good command of computer knowledge
- Able to read and understand technical manuals
