Position: Painting Inspector

Job Description:

Minimum requirement:

• A solid engineering background with minimum Higher National Diploma (HND) in a technical discipline (e. g Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering etc), or equivalent
• At least five (5) years experience in painting/coating inspection and in general five (5) years experience in coating application work which includes knowledge
• Minimum of 5 years in QA and QC roles, including supervision of QA/QC activities in Oil and Gas related projects NACE Level 2 or CSWIP BGAS Grade 2
• Prepare Project Quality Control Procedures such as Construction, Painting Procedures, and other project quality control requirements related to surface treatment and coating activities
• Ensuring the correct procedures are in place and adhered to
• To review the applicable paint system compatibility.
• To initiate the qualification of the Blasters/Painters for clients approval.
• Review of method statements of painting application.
• To ensure the readiness of the QA/QC requirements are met before start of painting/coating application.
• Responsible for the maintenance of Blaster & Painter Qualification records and performance and organise necessary training if needed.
• Maintain and update all Blasting & Paints inventory, inspection records including Calibration Status Report for tested equipments or other measuring equipment
• To carryout visual inspection and keep record of client supplied materials.
• To monitor and keep record of the Air Temperature, Dew Point, Relative Humidity
• Ensure all designated tests and inspections (WFT/DFT) are carried out timely and in accordance with project specifications prior submission to Client for final inspection for test


Education Required: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent
Age: 35 - 50 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 3, 500 / Month
