Position: Production Manager

Responsibilities and Duties:
Ø To work cooperatively with Halal Manager to direct and lead the production team to manufacture in compliance with GMP and PIC/S as well as Halal regulations.
Ø To demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of all phases of product manufacturing/packaging.
Ø To ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain required quality.
Ø To demonstrate strong understanding of the characteristics of raw materials (formulations), in-process operations and equipment configuration/settings for safe and efficient manufacturing/packaging.
Ø To approve the instructions relating to production operations, including the in-process controls, and to ensure their strict implementation.
Ø To review and ensure the production records are evaluated and signed by a designated person.
Ø To check the maintenance of the department, premises and equipment.
Ø To ensure that the appropriate process validations and calibrations of control equipment are performed and recorded and the reports made available.
Ø To provide GMP, SOP and on-job training to ensure the required initial and continuing training of production personnel is carried out and adapted according to need.
Ø To monitor and control of the manufacturing environment, plant and personnel hygiene.
Ø Participate in staff or management meetings.
Ø Participate in the writing or reviewing of new or existing SOPs
Ø Participate and coordinate department-specific internal audits, product deviation investigations (DIR), corrective/ preventative action reports (CARPA) and customer complaint investigations.
Ø Coordinate manufacturing/packaging schedules to ensure that equipment qualification (e. g. installation, operation and performance) as well as calibrations/certifications are completed.
Ø Maintain records associated with GMP and PIC/S manufacturing/packaging.
Ø Provide technical assistance on new product formulations, scale-up operations, engineering/optimization, and process validation studies.
Ø Participate in other tasks that may be assigned by the Managing Director.
Ø A B. Sc. degree in an applicable discipline of science (chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, medicine or related).
Ø Three or more years of production supervisory experience in the pharmaceutical/nutraceutical industry.
Ø Advanced knowledge of GMP, US FDA and PIC/S regulations for manufacturing pharmaceutical or nutraceutical products.
Ø Familiarity with the regulatory requirements of foreign jurisdictions would be considered an asset.
Ø Proven ability to supervise personnel and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Education Required: First Degree or equivalent
Age: 30 - 50 years old
Basic Salary: B$ 3, 000 / Month
