Blue Restaurant and Grill is looking for a Purchaser.
Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and purchase high-quality ingredients and supplies for the restaurant
Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of essential items
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to understand menu requirements and forecast needs
Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers and cost-effective purchasing options
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all purchasing activities
Track and report key performance metrics related to purchasing activities
Assist in the development of cost-saving strategies without compromising quality
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Purchaser or Buyer in the restaurant or hospitality industry
Knowledge of food and beverage products, suppliers, and market trends
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Familiarity with inventory management systems
Understanding of health and safety regulations in food handling and storage
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors
Have Brunei Valid driving license and have own transport
