Job Description:

Purpose of position

Responsible for assisting management in directing, supervising and coordinating all the activities of the location. Offshore Co-Coordinator has to ensure that high standards of food and beverages are prepared and served. He has to act as the contractor represented at sight and coordinate with line departments. Responsible for achieving the Company’s goals stated in the Company profile, HSE manual and Work instructions.

Scope

Report to work on time and with proper uniform.
To maintain professional appearance and have good posture all times while working, always smile and be helpful.
To be creative and ensure preparation for Buffet Line, to coordinate with the Cooks for menu changes and write in the white board daily together with the food tag displayed near to the food warmer during dinner time
To ensure the cleanliness of the Mess room at Maximum clean and to monitor the chairs arrangements in the TCV monitor room and meeting room always tidy and clean.
To do regular floor checking and assigned collect all mugs and other cutleries from the corridors and control room.
To ensure the water dispenser placed in at the corridors for the daily trips is always refill and monitor the cleanliness, if possible use the paper cups.
To ensure the guests always be served accordingly, pay attention and be alert especially during meal times. Must be around, that all empty plates after meals are removed from the table
To ensure steno burner available for roll-top, buffer line always clean during breakfast and dinner.
To ensure packet drinks are always display in the freezer during dinner time
Should be able to work independently and understand about daily routine job. Able to give command and make decision to solve out any standing matter related to service. To ensure consumption for the admin office deliver coffee break and clean up the area in time.

Responsibilities

Administrative Tasks

Conduct orientation and induction of new hired employees offshore
Work scheduling and staffing of employees
Handling guests complains and obtain solution
Conduct employee training and prepares module as part of training tool
Submit reports to his superior such as employee performance evaluation report or progress report
Maintains the highest quality performance standard of customer service
Performs initiative corrective measures to any violation made by employees
Reinforce company policies, rules and regulations published by the management
Participates in service when necessary such as in the preparation of specialty dishes and in serving VIP’s plus Outside caterings

Keep records of all employees medical cases and ensure that all of them are medically fit for job at all times
Promotes and maintain good relations with employees and guests

Operational Tasks

Coordinating with Chief Cook/Cook on a Daily basis
Daily reporting to Senior Admin/CSR for issues or matters that may arise
Monitor standard of food & beverage service. Check efficient, courteous and hospitable service amongst staffs
Handle customers complains with tact and diplomacy
Record any serious complains and refer it to management
Preparing for functions and to maintain a good standard of setting
Attending HSE Monthly meeting, Pakat visits, catering meeting, morning meetings
Is responsible for preparation of Pakat, Incident reports and near miss
Should be available at all times to encounter any type of emergency situation at the plant
Check and verify all supplies to the kitchen are hygienic, halal and kept according to HSE Module 26
Coordinate between production and Service department to ensure that preparation of all function, promotions, plus other activities involving food and beverage have been made

Opening Task (Delegation)

Check the miss en place. Table setting must be in correct position based on restaurant standards.
Tablecloth, napkins must be free of dirt and no torn. Glasses no chips and in crystal clear. Restaurant area free of dust ornaments clean, chairs and tables.
Dust off floor and ceilings thoroughly and ensure always clean.
Check lights and sounds and equipment must be in good condition.
Check side stand. China wares, glasses, napkins, coffee pot, teapot, ashtray, salt & pepper shakers, condiments and emergency towel must be ready at all times.
Check for any events of the day with the Contract Supervisor

Job HSE Task Prior To the Opening

Conduct Daily Hygiene Tool Box regarding hygiene issues
Check for the daily temperature recording of all the cold storage units (Twice Daily)
Check the Staff toilets & Store rooms on a daily basis
Briefing of employees regarding neat and pleasing appearance. Check the uniform, shoes shine, toe, fingernails of moderate length, hair recently cut and well groomed, moustache is unacceptable. Name tag is in place.
Record any serious complains and refers it to the management
To report and make records of any maintenance need

Any other duties that maybe as per assigned from time to time

HSE

Comply with Serikandi Company policies and procedures
Comply with BSP Module-26-Food Safety
Comply with BSP Module-29-Travelling Offshore
Comply with 12 Life Saving Rules

Qualification

Degree Holder
5 years’ experience in related field
Able to speak English is an added advantage
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Computer literate

Serikandi HSE Induction
Tropical Bosiet + Tropical EBS + Boat Transfer (OPITO Approved)
STCW-95Mariners Course
Basic Food Handler Course
Advanced Level food Hygiene with HACCP

25 years old and above
Physically fit
