Description

Responsibilities:

- Assisting in the daily preparation of food ingredients and ratios according to schedules and orders (Checklist).
- Assisting the Cook in food preparation activities, such as cleaning, cutting, chopping, and peeling food ingredients
- Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, dicing, mincing, blending, and grinding
- Preparing recipes and working with other kitchen staff to ensure that food meets specific requirements
- Responsible for the standard of food consistency and quality (SOP) including safety standards for storing, handling, and preparing food.
- Preparing and cooking food according to recipes and meal plans as directed by the head chef
- Cleaning and preparing of Cook’s equipment and tools while ensuring their cleanliness before duty.
- Maintaining good sanitation standards at Satami Jerudong Processing Centre – especially the kitchen.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the food preparation areas based on company and industry hygiene codes and health and safety standards
- Washing, disinfecting, and properly storing cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment after cooking is completed.
- Maintaining a clean work environment by following safety regulations, such as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
- Cleaning dishes, pots, pans, and utensils after they have been used in cooking or serving food
- Assisting in stock checking and making orders to the store manager on product restocking.
- Buying, weighing, and storing ingredients and food supplies (if necessary).
- Managing inventory, unloading supplies, and organizing the storeroom.
- Operating a variety of kitchen appliances and instruments including cutters, knives, mixers, and ovens.
- Preparing food items for storage using methods such as canning, freezing, dehydrating, or pickling.

- Preferable personnel who are experienced at least 2 - 3 years in Kitchen works, and able to cook up large batches of food (production)
- No problem with transportation and can work longer hours
- Meal is included / staffquarters (optional)
