Position: Drilling Section Leader

Job Description:
Ensure that the rig has adequate supplies for drilling and maintenance and make sure through the drilling crew that all drilling equipment is properly maintained and ready for use Be familiar with the contents of the contract between Maersk Drilling & Maersk FPSOs and the Operator Monitoring the working environment in the areas where drilling activities are going on Ensure that the drilling crew are well instructed in respect of avoiding pollution of the outer environment Assist with updating and improving existing procedures and instructions or preparing new ones when required In co-operation with the OIM, carry out regular inspections of the rig including drilling related equipment. Particular attention shall be paid to safety and rescue equipment, and the BOP and well control related equipment as well as tension equipment where this is installed Check that all drilling related reports are filled in and forwarded as instructed in the MD Management System. Particular attention is to be paid to “Near Miss” reporting, I. A. D. C. reports – or other approved report - and the Daily Drilling reports. Check the use of the Work Permit system Supervise adherence to Maersk Drilling & Maersk FPSOs Quality Assurance System including the Safety Policy and the Environmental Policy Keep good communication lines with the service contractors and the drilling crew on board the rig, and ensure their activities are carried out according to good oil field practice Issue daily instructions and procedures to the Driller in writing Ensure handover between shifts and during other relevant operations are performed Check and approve critical calculations with respect to the well including circulating volumes, hole filling and displacement volumes Utilize available data and real time information, manpower and equipment in the pla
ing and in the actual operation to maintain primary well control Prepare and issue checklist to the drill crew prior to begi
ing of new operations Ensure that all drilling related reports, written evidence, logs and sheets are maintained updated, signed by the responsible person and filed accordingly Obtain authorisation of all deviation permits prior to implementation. Act in accordance with other instructions issued by the management of Maersk Drilling & Maersk FPSOs to ensure safe, efficient, and economical drilling operations on board. Drops Focal Point for Derrick Monitor the cost control and inventory lists in respect of drilling equipment and materials for the rig. Supply budget input for coming years
Education Required: Master''s Degree (Master''s) or equivalent
Age: 18 - 50 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 10, 000 / Month
