- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for children in their care
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
- Establish positive relationships with parents
- Plan and lead activities to encourage physical, social, and intellectual growth in children
- Observe and document children’s progress and discuss with parents
- Assist with mealtime, naptime, and other daily routines
- Assist with potty training and other developmental milestones
- Encourage children to interact with each other and participate in group activities
- Provide guidance to children on appropriate behavior
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
