Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all Company's HSE matters
- Responsible for facilitating and ensuring the compliance of the Company with clients' HSE policies.
- Present during Company and clients' HSE meetings and active member of HSE network.
- Responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating annual HSE plan.
- Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
- Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training.
- Observe HSE regulations, wear all required PPE, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately, or report to the proper personnel.
- Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
- Performs and conducts emergency response drills based on annual HSE plan. Train and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
- The safety officer will conduct a safety investigation to determine root causes and to gather the evidence necessary to identify the cause of the accident.
- Participate in the project safety council and leads all efforts to enhance safety.
- Reviews and approves all subcontractors safety plans.
- Conducts job hazard analyses. Establishes safety standards and policies as needed.
- Responsible for conducting HSE monthly meetings and ensuring all employees are informed on the time and venue.
- Act as custodian for the Training Matrix, and arrange for employees' training.
Qualification:
- L5 National Diploma in engineering and/or NEBOSH certified.
- Experience in Oil and Gas HSE coordination work associated with Wellhead Maintenance activities.
- Computer literate and proficient in the preparation of technical reports.
