Position: Trainee Assistant Resident Engineer -TARE
Total Vacancy: 5 Male/Female

Job Description:

Qualification and Experience required:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or in a relevant discipline that is applicable for this Project;
• Candidates with Higher National Diploma with site supervision experience may also be considered;
• The appointment is for a period of approximately 12 months
• Must be either Brunei Citizen or Brunei Permanent Resident and this is a mandatory requirement.

Roles and Responsibility

• Assist in the general day-to-day recording of work carried on site.
• Report to the ARE any site problems.
• Study and understand the method statements and contractor’s proposals with the help of the ARE.
• Assist in the preparations of site instructions and variation orders for onward submission to RE, SRE and CRE.
• Assist in preparing daily reports on progress of works and safety.
• Assist to check contractor’s submission and discuss with the ARE and RE for comments.
• Assist to Co-ordinate with various government departments and utility companies on site matters.
• Oversee the construction works and keep detailed site records of plant used and labour employed.
• Assist to prepare meeting minutes.
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned to him from time to time by the PRE.

Education Required: First Degree or equivalent
Age: 23 - 30 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 2, 280 / Month
