Position: WELDING SUPERVISOR
Total Vacancy: 8 Male
Job Description:
- Shall have served a recognized apprenticeship as a welder and be qualified to technician level with City and Guilds (or equivalent) qualification.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in welding and fitting, with at least 5 years in the oil industry.
- Shall have 2 years’ experience of coordinating and supervising welding and marking off activities offshore
• To supervise all welding and marking-off activities
• To ensure his welders and marker/fitters adhere to established safety rules, codes, practices and regulations in accordance with Company’s procedures.
• To ensure all his welders and marker/fitters have the required tools and safety equipment, and that such items are maintained in a good and safe condition.
• To read drawings and specifications, and be familiar with the work programmes to progress the work as necessary for the timely and proper execution of the work.
• To report immediately to the Shift Supervisor or Construction Superintendent any discrepancy, or material shortages he may discover.
• To ensure discipline on members of his crew, and if required, request a replacement of unacceptable individuals after liaison with the welding inspector.
Education Required: National Vocational Certificate (NVC) or equivalent (NTC)
Age: 35 - 50 years old
Basic Salary: B$ 123 / Day
Allowances: B$ 6
