Job Description:

Purpose of Job

• The Chief Engineer is the head of department of the Engine Department and he’s fully responsible for all activities in the engine room

Qualification / Training required

1. Chief Engineer on a seagoing ship powered by main propulsion machinery of 3000KW propulsion power shall hold an appropriate certificate
2. Chief Engineer on ships powered by main propulsion machinery between 750 KW and 3000 KW propulsion power shall hold an appropriate certificate.
3. Basic Safety Training, COC, Advanced Fire Fighting, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat, GMDSS GOC Certificate, Engine Resources Management, ISM Code Certificate, MARPOL 73/78 Certificate, BOSIET/ HUET Certificate, IMS-5 Worksite Supervisor, Shipboard Security Awareness.

Education Required: National Diploma
Age: 20 - 50 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 500 / Day
Employment Type: Full Time
