Position: Banquet Attendant

Job Description:


• Banquet Attendant responsible of serving duties for outside catering and in-house events.
• Banquet attendant set up for events, carry trays, serve guests, and clean up at the event´s conclusion.
• Essential to have a good communication skill and being able to follow directions efficiently and meeting the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities Service

• Maintain a friendly and cheerful attitude.
• Have a good knowledge of menu contents.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of all menu items being served.
• Maintain low beverage costs through timely replenishment, effective control of the issuing and maintenance of stocks, and ensure proper use of same.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
• Responsible for keeping adequate stocks of bottled soft drinks, canned fruit juices and nuts etc.
• Ensures timely replenishment of stock.
• Conduct daily stock checks and monthly inventory taking together with the cost control
• Prepares store requisitions.
• Ensure stocks are in accordance to Par during opening and closing.
• Perform duties of Staff when necessary.
• Ensures that the all banquet equipment & utensils is in a hygienic and tidy state at closing.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Assist with the planning, organizing and execution of all banquet functions including, but not limited to, breakfast, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, galas, etc.
• Greet and welcome client representative and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Participate in and lead department meetings
• Process banquet checks accurately and efficiently for payment
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

Quality Responsibilities

• To up sell Food & Beverage in order to increase the outlet average check/revenue.
• To be involved in departmental training on monthly basis
• To maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the outlet as per the minimum standard
• To take on any other tasks or projects that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
• Be familiar with the emergency procedures of the restaurant.
• Be smart and well-groomed at all times
• To take on any other tasks or projects that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
• Be familiar with the emergency procedures of the Hotel.
• Observe and comply with all the rules, regulations and policies established by the Restaurant.

HR Responsibilities

• Attends all company training as required.
• Adheres to all HR and company policies and procedures.
• Continually strives to improve self; knowledge and skills.

Financial Responsibilities

• To minimize food wastage and spoilage
• Keep over production, food wastage and spoilage to a minimum in order to reduce food cost expenses.
• Overseeing stock levels.
• Maintain strong internal controls of the sales and safeguarding against loss.
• Count the cash sales and submit the cash to authorize cash handling person.
• Stringently assure that the handover process is documented and recorded in a book.
• Sales money are not allowed to be use as cash to purchase restaurant items.
• It is the his/herresponsibilities for the cash loss due to his/her error or misconduct and should reimburse company the loss amount.
