Position: Trainee NDT Inspector
Total Vacancy: 1 Male/Female
Job Description:
The responsibilities of the Trainee Inspector shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
• To assist to carry out NDT activities such as visual, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant testing and/or other associated inspection tasks assigned to him by the Team Leader including tracing lines, de-scaling, corrosion depth measurement, and measurement of remaining wall thickness. in efficient and productive manner
• To learn how to report the inspection findings based on company approved procedure and work pack requirements
• To learn how to report the inspection findings based on company approved procedure and work pack requirements
• To learn how to Accept (or reject), any component inspected on the grounds of the findings based on company approved procedure.
• Assist the Senior Inspector or COMPANY’s Plant Inspector in conducting (visual) inspection duties as and when required, including tracing lines, de-scaling, corrosion depth measurement, and measurement of remaining wall thickness.
• To assist to prepare and compile inspection reports on completion of each inspection activity under the supervision of the team leader
• Ensure the relevant Permit to Work is available and in order before commencement of work.
• Report any unsafe conditions of practices that may arise, in accordance with COMPANY’s incident and near miss reporting PROCEDURES.
• It is the responsibility of every employee to perform their duties in strict accordance with the Company Quality Management System and Safety Manuals in a manner, which ensures their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
Qualifications Requirements HND in Mechanical Engineering:
• Experience and background Requirements
• Be fluent in both spoken and written English
• Awareness of inspection and NDT techniques
• Have good knowledge of all aspects related to Health, Safety and Environment in carrying out the work
• Medically fit
Education Required: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent
Age: 18 - 30 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 1, 500 / Month
