Position: Welding Engineer

Job Description:

- University degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering & holding CSWIP 3. 1 Certificate
- Minimum 05 years of experience in similar position
- Minimum 05 years of working experience in Power, Fertilizer or Oil & Gas projects
- Advanced level of English skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing)
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience in common welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW and SAW. .
- Advanced knowledge & experience in NDE, ability to categorize & qualify weld defects
- Provide technical welding guidance to subcontractors.
- Provide technical support with industry standards and specifications such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, AWS, API, CSA, ISO and NACE.
- Oversee welding procedures (WPS) for construction work.
- Check, approve & monitor welder performance qualification records (WPQ)
- Verify the welders' personal qualification, incl. attending and approving on-site welder tests.
- Lead and support welders and fitters in all welding activities
- Maintain correctly all Welding documentation

Education Required: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent
Age: 25 - 50 years old
Basic Salary: B$ 1, 000 / Month
