Position: QC Inspector
Total Vacancy: 4 Male
1. Requirements:
- Engineer at university level in welding and hold international recognized certificate (CSWIP 3. 1)
- Minimum 5 year’s experience of a power, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer plant in welding works
- Understanding of mechanical and structural components as it relates to welding engineering assessments and recommendations.
- Knowledge and practical experience of common welding processes such as SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW and SAW. .
- Experience in welding carbon and low alloy steels, stainless steels and nickelbased alloys.
- Fundamental knowledge in NDE, ability to categorize & quantify weld defects
- Knowledge or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
- Knowledge of quality systems.
- NDE experience
- Coordinated ability for all Subcontractor.
- Fluently English skills
- Competency in Microsoft
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills with large organizations.
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
- Strategic thinking, open to new ideas.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Willingness to stay at Employer's camp located in construction site (SPARK)
2. Job Description:
- Analyze engineering designs for welding requirements.
- Has responsibility of coordinating multiple projects and directing outside test laboratories and contract welding facilities.
- Plan, conduct, track and report welding engineering investigations.
- Review subcontractor welding procedures, processes and documentation in order to determine that applicable welding code and design requirements are satisfied.
- Plan, conduct NDE work on site
- Oversee welding procedure qualification and generate welding procedures (WPS) for construction work.
- Investigate new developments in the field of welding to evaluate their possible application to improve or remedy existing welding processes.
- Provide technical support with industry standards and specifications such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, AWS, API, CSA, ISO and NACE.
- Coordinate failure analyses and root cause analysis on welding related issues.
- Lead and support welders in all welding activities including allocation of required tools
- Lead and support pipefitters for all piping related jobs
- Attend weekly meeting and direct subordinate for backlog jobs
- Make sure for compliance of all safety procedure during welding work at site
- Organize and supervise the welding activities safety and effectively based upon plant requirement.
Education Required: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent
Age: 25 - 40 years old
