Position: ABLE BODY (SEAMAN)
Total Vacancy: 20 Male

Job Description:

The duties of ABs are, but not limited to, the following:

• Have due regard for the safety of himself and other perso
el.
• Carry out instructions as specified by the Master, vessel’s officers.
• Maintain deck equipment and machinery as specified by Chief Officer.
• Clean, chip or paint the accommodation and deck areas as required.
• Clean chip and paint the steering flat, cement room and bow thruster compartment as required.
• Clean potable water tanks and ballast tanks as required.
• Assist in other engine room duties should there be a requirement to do so.
• Assist in cargo handling at offshore locations.
• Ensure that any tasks they carry out are done in a safe ma
er.
• Assist in the mooring and un-mooring of the vessel in port and at offshore locations.
• Maintain a lookout in the hours of darkness or restricted visibility.
• Act as night watchman in port.
• Participate in safety meeting
• Shall contribute in the pla
ing and risk assessment of any work they participate in
• Shall report to Master, accident and/or dangerous situations whether personal injury is caused or not.
• Shall understand and be familiar with their emergency duties as per the ship’s muster list
• Shall attend any safety and pollution prevention drills conducted onboard.
• Regular fire round should be made by AB on duty while at sea and in port.


Education Required: National Vocational Certificate (NVC) or equivalent (NTC)
Age: 18 - 45 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 25 / Day
