Job Details:

Position: Account Officer
Total Vacancy: 1 Male/Female

Job Description:

1. Execute all activities and work in Compliance with PETROKON Quality Management System and HSE Management System.
2. Compiles with Government financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements.
3. Brief and discuss with Head of department (HOD) of their weekly and monthly tasks assigned with target date completion.
4. Alert HOD of any exceptional transactions that was not pla
ed and forecasted any of the management reports.
5. Supervise the accounts assistant that he/she in charge of and give reasonable training and guidance.
6. Cover for other team members when they are on leave.
7. Prepare, analyze and submit to HOD accurate and timely monthly management report such as income statement, financial position and cashflow reporting and the financial projections.
8. Reconciling any discrepancy transactions by collecting and analyzing information gathered and to raise journal for any adjusted transactions to be recorded into the accounting system.
9. Receive income collected by cash, cheque from customers and passed the information to Accounts Assistance for receipts issuance.
10. Code the invoice / expenses claim received to appropriate general legger (GL) account before it is passed to Accounts Assistant to be recorded in the accounting system.
11. Check and ensure the information recorded into the accounting system by the Accounts Assistant is accurate.
12. Setting up and processing payments both domestic and international according to the set date payment by Management.
13. Performing Company’s bank reconciliation on weekly and monthly basis.
14. Process customers’ sales invoices / credits, ensure it was sent to customers and retain copy for filing. To deal with return orders if any and inform relevant staff on it.
15. Issue a statement of account to the customers that owed more than the credit period and monitor the debtor aging report and keep it to the acceptable level.
16. Compiling inter-company reconciliations and ensure all information are captured.
17. Process the staff payroll and staff related payments accurately and on timely ma
er.
18. Check and review the petty cash transaction handles by the Accounts Assistant before submit for management approval.
19. Assist HOD to set Key Performance Indicatior (KPI) to his / her team member in charged and review his / her team member twice a year performance to ensure they are align to the department’s and Company’s objectives.
20. Support HOD during the internal and external audit in the periodic review of the company.
21. Assist HOD in preparing the external financial reporting requires by the vendors and government agencies accurately and in timely ma
er.

ual budget process. Ensure the accounts documentation are managed and kept properly.


Education Required: First Degree or equivalent
Age: 25 - 35 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 2, 000 / Month
