Position: Cable Technician
Total Vacancy: 5 Male

Job Description:

Part time: 6 months //Start Date: 1st May 2020

1. Maintain cable systems by installing, repairing, programming and upgrading cable infrastructure.
2. Perform major and minor preventative maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues.
3. Identify, track and remove abandoned cable.
4. Test every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures.
5. Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standard.
6. Record time and materials used on daily work assignment.
7. Return all equipment and supplies to respective locations after the job completion.
8. Develop in-depth knowledge of National Building Codes and standards.
9. Complete required paperwork including installation checklist, time sheets, service orders, vehicle inspection report and various other logs.
10. Understand, adhere to, and promote environmental, health & safety policies.
11. Assist co-workers with installation and routine maintenance of structured cabling systems.
12. Manage pole climbing and working at heights and small confined spaces.
13. Work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
14. Wok on-call 24 hours a day for emergency repairs.
15. Operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, leakage detection devices and test equipment.
16. Knowledge of fiber optic installation is an advantage.

Age: 20 - 30 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 500 / Month
