Job Description:

Supervision and daily inspections of the mud processing areas, ensuring they are kept clean and tidy and that maintenance on the equipment is carried out in accordance with Maersk Drilling & Maersk FPSOs procedures and instructions, and as instructed by superiors. Particular attention shall be paid to all valves and pumps in the mud and cementing systems Co-operation with the Rig Hydraulic and the Technical Section regarding the maintenance. Ensure that the appropriate entries are made in the Preventive Maintenance System Before operation starts and during operation, make sure that all valves and equipment are correctly lined up. Inform the Tourpusher/Driller about changes in settings Ensure at all times the integrity of the mud pit dump valves, and make sure no unintentional dumping or spillage takes place Make sure that all relevant datasheets are in order and available for the drilling chemicals to be used. Check the correct stowage of all drilling chemicals, and make sure that dangerous chemicals are stored in dedicated areas for dangerous goods Carry out mixing of mud, fluids and chemicals in accordance with instructions from the Mud Engineer. Make sure that the mud is kept within the specifications required by the well program. Monitor the mud return Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the working environment, and in particular ensure the use of proper safety procedures and equipment involved in mixing and handling of chemicals Before any work commence in the mud pits, make sure that the atmosphere is tested in respect of sufficient oxygen content and that no dangerous gases or undesirable fumes are present. Also make sure that the agitators are isolated and locked as long as work is carried out in the mud pits Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the working environment, and in particular ensure the use of proper safety procedures and equipment involved in mixing and handling of chemicals Make use of the Work Permit system. Be aware of and comply with working environmental regulations Assist in ru
ing and cementing of casing. Align the fluid system for displacement of spacer and drilling fluid. Monitor returns to ensure circulation and make sure that any cement returns are immediately dumped, if possible, and inform the Driller Carry out regular inspections of the derrick and derrick equipment. Check the derrick for loose objects every time when entering the derrick. Assist the Rig Hydraulic in the maintenance and lubrication of the derrick equipment and other drilling equipment When required (e. g. during tripping), operate the pipe handling equipment Participate with the drilling crew in the regular emergency preparedness drills, including the required kick drills Participate in other work related to the operations and in training and supervision of less experienced drilling crew members as instructed by the Driller or his superiors Prepare mud pump reports, mud data logs and daily log of drilling mud chemicals and mud materials consumption, and assist the Driller with other reports when requested


Education Required: GCE ''A'' Level
Age: 18 - 50 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 2, 610 / Month
