Position: Marine Technical Manager

Job Description:

- Responsible for the day to day operation of Marine Services. Supervises all department managers and responsible for revenue and profitability of the company.
- Daily supervision of department managers
- Marketing of company services and exploring new business
- Manage generation of financial and operating reports
- Develop policies and procedures to manage the company
- Generates company a
ual and strategic plans
- Ensure that travel claims, payroll information, and vacation approvals are accurate and processed in a timely fashion
- Prepare and justify a
ual budget for the Department
- Review and prepare monthly variance reports
- Ensure that purchases for the Department are made in compliance with the procurement policy
- Assist in the accomplishment of company objectives by performing other related duties as required

Responsibilities:

- Refit and project management experience
- Knowledge of SOLAS, certified with Marine Department Brunei Darussalam (LR, DNVGL)
- Labor relations and collective agreement experience
- Internal auditing experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Microsoft Project, Auto Cad
- Completion of a 4-year Technical Apprenticeship, a recognized Marine Course or a Cadet Program

Requirements

- Degree in marine technical discipline
- MBA or similar formal management training.
- Oil or Marine Industry operational and management experience.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with vessels operations and terminal/refinery operations.
- Familiar with accounting procedures, financial reports, cost accounting, management of medium size businesses.
- 5 - 10 years’ experience dealing with marine industry and in general management and at least 10 years’ experience in the rank of Chief Engineer onboard ships and experience in related shore-based technical or project management positions in fleet, technical, operations or shipyards environments.
- First Class Marine Engineer Certification (STCW 111/2)
- Marine School Diploma or Technical College Certificate or a combination of equivalent education, job-related training and experience in a related position experience.

Education Required: First Degree or equivalent
Age: 35 - 60 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 5, 000 / Month
Employment Type: Full Time
