Position: Chief Electrician

Job Description:

• Ensuring the safety of all crew, cast, staff and audience members in relation to production lighting
• Ensuring that power supplies for the lighting and sound installation have been correctly and safely co
ected and used
• PAT testing and regular maintenance of all lighting equipment; maintenance of communications and cue lights
• Installing and dismantling the temporary cabling and basic rig at the start and end of the season
• Day to day maintenance of the site i. e. changing light bulbs, cleaning fittings etc. ensuring suitable lamp stocks are kept
• Installing the rig; focusing and lighting shows as directed by the Lighting Designer and Production Electrician to achieve the requirements of each production
• Operating the board for all performances and ensuring stage power and cue lights for all performances
• Buying, hiring or making any practical required for individual shows
• Removing temporary stage lighting, re-focusing lights and setting any practicals on changeover days
• Monitoring the lighting budget (for production maintenance and staff) in close association with the Production Manager
• Ensuring that licensing requirements relating to production lighting and stage power are met
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager or senior management.


Education Required: Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent
Age: 18 - 50 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 7, 650 / Month
