GENERAL SUMMARY
The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Helper is responsible for assisting the plant E&I Technician with the Electrical and Instrumentation equipment installed at the plant. The E & I Helper should have an understanding of electrical and instrumentation principals and be willing to accept more responsibility as they learn the process.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
• Install, maintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Locate, diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation malfunctions.
• Inspect, test electrical and instrumentation equipment as required.
• Install hydraulic/pneumatic, electronic and other instrumentation equipment.
• Disassemble malfunctioning instruments and electrical equipment, troubleshoots and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
• Assists with developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully utilize all skills and abilities to work in a flexible environment.
• Other tasks as directed by Plant Management.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
