Mechanic Supervisor
 

We are seeking skilled Mechanic Supervisor to join our operations team in Sparrows Group here in Brunei.

MAIN PURPOSE:
Primary responsibility is to supervise and lead the team to carry out maintenance work under the direction of Sparrows Engineering team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ability to inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
• Ability to repair mechanical components (for example, winches, valves, etc).
• Ensure completion of preventative maintenance program.
• Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
• Ability to comprehend mechanical drawing & hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to follow Sparrows and client’s procedures.
• Ability to use all types of measuring equipment.
• Understanding tolerances and types of “fit”
• Identify and log defects and raise corrective work orders in a prompt manner.
• Ensure good housekeeping in your work area.
• Remain safety cautious and ensure yourself and your team members use compulsory PPE.
• Ensure you are familiar with all applicable work and safety procedures and promote them within the workplace.
• Supervise a team of Mechanics on all preventive, routine and non-routine maintenance work for the overhaul of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure the correct materials and equipment are available to complete any repair work scope.
• Regularly communicate with Sparrows Engineer to keep them updated on maintenance activities.
• Complete paperwork thoroughly and in a timely fashion.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Hold a mechanic qualification or can demonstrate at least 5 years of verifiable mechanical engineering knowledge and work experience.
• Fluent in Written and Spoken English.
• Good communication skills.
• T-BOSIET is a must for offshore work.
