Position: Site Material Manager

Job Requirements:

- Engineer at university level in mechanics
- At least 7 years experience in the industrial projects such as power, fertilizer, refinery plants or equivalent with the same position
- Proven experience as materials manager and experience in shipping and receiving
- Experiences in mechanical work/ material control activities of Oil, Gas, Power, refinery, fertilizer plant.
- Knowledgeable with the preservation work of the industrial equipment.
- Knowledgeable with international standards relevant Gas/ Petroleum/ Power/ fertilizer/ refinery plant.
- Ability to understand goods retrieval system.
- Familiar with warehouse safety precaution procedures.
- Well versed in creating logs and preservation documents.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Fluently English skills
- Competency in Microsoft
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills with large organizations.
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
- Strategic thinking, open to new ideas.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Job Description:

- Establish project material and logistic procedures.
- Ensure contractual material and logistic standards and procedures are followed
- Review and approve internal material control documents as required.
- Assist in analyzing work progress by calculating/preparing various comparison reports.
- Ensure compliance with project/ company policies, procedures and administrative guidelines.
- Allocate and organize resources (materials and people) to meet objectives.
- Administer the inventory control and distribution of materials in centralized and remote storerooms.
- Review current methods and develop improved practices and procedures.
- Supervise and direct subordinates in the storekeeping and distribution facilities by: setting up and evaluating performance standards, coaching on performance and providing on-the-job instruction, resolving disputes and disciplining when necessary.
- Advise and instruct subordinates regarding work requirements and quality/quantity standards.
- Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
- Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications
- Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
- Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
- Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
- Assist in forecasting to plan future orders
- Stick and conform for follow up of all safety requirements at job execution phase
