We are looking to recruit an experienced Crane Spare Parts Technical Coordinator to join our team at Sparrows in Brunei.

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES

Engineering support for supply of Crane Parts
• Initiate EMoC process with engineering team for alternative crane parts/components where obsolescence is a factor or unavailability of parts within region to what is available.
• Review crane technical drawings, crane BoM’s and crane component specification cards
• Technical review of crane spare parts RFQ’s received for compliance and suitability
• Focal point for compilation of Sparrows crane OEM spare parts database within the region

Supply chain activities
• Add and liaise with current vendors to identify ability to supply crane parts in a cost effective and timely manner
• Record and maintain correct information for parts sales activities into the nominated systems.
• Computerised logging of purchased material data.
• Undertake suitable actions to maximize in-country supply options to reduce costs and lead-time for parts supply.
• Update of materials deliveries to clients.
• Liaise with supply chain, examine Sparrows Crane OEM parts requests and investigate suitable supply options using the global supply chain support structure to procure parts within region.
• Liaise with Stores resource to ensure correct parts/materials receipting on ERP system

Operations support
• Process of material requests from operations team
Qualifications and experience
• Excellent technical knowledge of crane parts, components and functionality
• Technical knowledge of cranes and mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of EMoC process and able to proactively follow up on engineering process
• Be able to work under own initiative, capable of prioritising and managing workload to meet applicable deadlines.
• Well organised and attention to detail for compilation of spare parts registers
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages.
• Ability to read, understand technical drawings, BOM’s and component specification cards
• Ability to liaise with vendors on suitable alternative components in the presence of obsolescence
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience and basic understanding of ERP systems
• Ability to act proactively, react to client timelines and prioritise work with limited supervision
