Technician/Tester
 

Position:

TECHNICIAN/TESTER

Responsibility:

- Responsible to Technical Manager
- Test concrete as required by test plan or as directed
- Complete all required documentation, maintain the Laboratory records and client confidentiality
- Obtain representative samples of materials to be tested
- Carry out slump testing
- Carry out making, storage and testing of concrete test cubes
- Carry out sieve analysis
- Ensure all forms are correctly filled out at the required time and are passed to the appropriate officer or filed
- Notification of non conformance
- Carry out visual checks on random loads of raw material and every load of readymixed concrete
- Maintain Company property and ensure that any damage, accidental or malicious by whosoever is reported immediately, to their supervisor , or any senior staff.
- Ensure that Laboratory access and security is controlled
- Maintain the Laboratory house-keeping appropriate to its function
- Clean and store all equipment after use
- Report any defective equipment to superior , immediately it is detected

Competency requirement (Qualification / experience / training):

- Educated to Junior High School (At least Form 3 )
- On-the-job training in the required skills
- Competence in oral and written English language used in the Company’s operations and sufficient to complete documentation
- Competence in basic mathematics
