Job Description:

Qualification and Experience required

• A Degree in Engineering (with specialisation in Construction Safety)
• At Least 10 years of experience in construction safety will be an advantage.
• All in Salary range between BND8, 500-12, 800. 00

Roles and Responsibility

• Ensure that the civil engineering construction work/equipment installation is carried out in compliance with the safety requirements of the Contract provisions and statutory requirements and regulation in force in Brunei.
• Highlight potential dangers of the Site and take timely measure to regulate the situation in avoidance of occurrence of accident
• Prepare monthly safety reports, making recommendations to the PRE on the subject of safety matters.
• Comment on contractor’s temporary works designs and any contractor’s proposals for modifications to the permanent works in sake of safety on site Attend monthly Site Safety Management Committee Meeting and other meetings on matters relating to site safety and preparation of minutes of the meeting and follow up correspondences and packages.
• Keep the PRE, CRE or SRE and the Engineer’s senior staff fully informed of the status of the site on safety point of view.
• Deal with any other duties assigned by the PRE.
• Monitor the performance of the Contractors to deal with safety issues.
• Monitor the progress and adequacy of the Contractors to report the accident reports, Construction Accident Statistic Monthly Summary, Injury Report Form, Employees Compensation Summary and all pro-forma and reports as requested by relevant Government Departments.
• Comment on Contractor’s Site Safety Plan and corresponding supplementary documents/revisions to the plan, and Contractor’s monthly safety report.
• Ensure that all weekly safety walk and site safety meetings to be carried out in accordance with the Contract provisions.
• Ensure the Contractor practice the “Site Safety Cycle” to upkeep safety and health on the site.
• Comment on the adequacy of safety trainings to be carried out for the Contract and forecasting the need on safety aspects for forthcoming site activities.
• Auditing of site safety and monitoring the rectification/follow-up action on identified deficiencies.
• Planning and personal administration of his subordinates.
• To deal with any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the PRE.
• Promote safety standard, monitor and update RSS safety training programme.

Education Required: First Degree or equivalent
Age: 35 - 55 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 8, 500 / Month
Employment Type: Full Time
