Position: Rigger (Offshore)
Total Vacancy: 20 Male/Female


Roles and Responsibilities

(a) Have experience in all types of rigging and be able to work as an effective team member in large or small groups depending on the activity;
(b) Shall act as a banksman;
(c) Be agile and be able to work at heights without a problem;
(d) Fully aware of the COMPANY’S safety regulations and shall apply them at all times;
(e) Familiar with various lifting techniques and the use of equipment such as chain hoist, shackles, slings, tugger winch;
(f) Capable of splicing both manila and wire ropes and have the skill to make all required knots, bends and hitches;
(g) Assist in hydrotesting operations;
(h) Fully conversant with COMPANY’s Safety procedures;
(i) Have the knowledge to assemble all types of pipe work, welded, screwed or flanged in a neat and workmanlike ma
er, under the supervision of the CONTRACTOR Technicians;
(j) Have the knowledge to apply appropriate torque by using of hydraulic bolt torquing machine for flange management under supervision of construction supervisor;
(k) Must be willing to carry out other works like cleaning, handling of material and equipment.

Qualifications:

i. Must be Bruneian;

ii. Be medically and physically fit to undertake the duties of a portable lifting equipment operations;
iii. Shall not be less than 18 and not more than 60 years of age by the start and end of the Contract;
iv. Have experience involved in portable lifting equipment operations and rigging & slinging practice;
v. Be familiar with BSP’s Lifting and Hoisting Standard BSP-ASS-Standard-004;
vi. Possess valid BOSIET training;
vii. Have passed an introduction to rigging and lifting operations course from BSP approved training facility;
viii. Have passed a rigging and slinging training course from a BSP approved training facility; ix. Have undergone workplace assessment by a trainer from a BSP approved training facility.


Education Required: Lower Secondary Assessment (PMB) or equivalent (BJCE)
Age: 18 - 55 years old
Driving License Class: 3
Basic Salary: B$ 1, 700 / Month
