Position: RIGGING SUPERVISOR
Total Vacancy: 5 Male
Job Description:
• Minimum of 5 years rigging experience of which 2 years have been spent in a supervisory capacity on offshore and onshore locations.
• Must have a current certificate of fire fighting training and required courses by COMPANY's procedure/guidelines
• Directly responsible to the Construction Supervisor
• Responsible for the supervision of all rigging activities
• Fully conversant in the art of rigging and able to define and control any rigger classifications
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to during team efforts in achieving the tasks assigned
• Able to work independently on board a vessel or away from the vessel (fabrication yard, aboard an anchor handling tug)
• Responsible in selecting correct slings and shackles for all lifts
• Responsible in the removal of any slings which requires replacement
• Able to determine suitable rigging devices and implementing the task to safely and effectively position pipe work equipment/derricks
• Familiar with anchor-buoy and pennant recovery and handling on board during vessel moves
• Able to operate anchor winches on board the vessel from both local console and from remote control console on the tower as instructed by the vessel master or deck foreman to assist in vessel moves when required
• Ensure that all rigging equipment is properly maintained, inspected and certified
• Able to assemble all types of pipe work, welded, screwed or flanged .
Education Required: National Vocational Certificate (NVC) or equivalent (NTC)
Age: 25 - 50 years old
Basic Salary: B$ 123 / Day
Allowances: B$ 6
