Position: Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator
Total Vacancy: 2 Male/Female

Job Description:

1) To ensure DAF and DECORE unit operation is running as per schedule and functionality of each components are well monitored, which means Operator is also responsible for equipment up keeping and maintain in good working conditions,
2) To ensure correct amount of Chemicals used and very familiar with them (e. g. polymer, soda ash and caustic soda) for the process, and ability to stop treatment of wastewater once the water clarified
3) To ensure and assist sampling is available to laboratory for analysis, and the batch of wastewater is transferred to settling tank for aeration,
4) To make sure results meet the requirements of BSP specification and DEPR pollution control guideline specification, and manage safe discharge of acceptable treated water,
5) WWTP operator is to monitor and ensure all off-spec treated water to be re-treated, sample taken and re-tested until the discharge quality meets discharge criteria,
6) Responsible to perform internal minor maintenance regularly as stipulated in the planned maintenance schedule (refer to Manual) or the approved Preventive Plan Maintenance Job Cards (PMJC),
7) Day-to-day managing of work area and parameter, i. e. housekeeping
8) Keeping up to date with Company HSSE policy and business objectives (KPI),
9) Continue liaising with Operation Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator for maintenance supports and operational planning.

Qualifications:

1) Vocational technical college, HND, Engineering Diploma or equivalent, and Chemical Handling certificate.

Experience & Skills:

1) Accumulative 5 years in operating O&G wastewater treatment system or unit, out of which 2 years direct hands-on experience in operating DAF system or solids control system or equivalent, 2 years in equipment maintenance, and 1 year in general processing of O&G waste products.
2) Computer literate, pleasant personality, willing to learn and plenty of good attitudes

Education Required: National Diploma
Age: 25 - 45 years old
Basic Salary: B$ 750 / Month
Employment Type: Part Time/Full Time
