Position: Welder

Job Description:

1. Contribute to the attainment of company strategic priorities with the provision of a safe working environment and adherence to Company policy and procedures
2. Read engineering, schematic and mechanical diagrams, drawings or specifications to determine job requirements
3. Inspect, service and repair rig equipment as needed or directed to ensure reliable performance
4. Fabrication or remedial welding to trade qualifications
5. Keep abreast of applicable standards (International Industry standards) and the latest trade and industry technologies for application of workshop activities.
6. Ensure that work area is kept clean and tidy with equipment maintained to company requirements.
7. Travel to field for work if required
8. Available for after hour equipment breakdowns
9. Undertake other duties as reasonable required by the employer, consistent with the employee’s classification and constituting duties with the employee is competent to perform
10. Perform fabrication repairs to equipment in accordance with legislative and manufacturer’s requirements
11. Use and operate all equipment in accordance with company and client policy and procedures.
12. Complete and submit field welder’s reports, timesheets and all other required paperwork by the required time
13. Maintain working relationships with Rig Managers informing them of movements and issues relating to their rigs performance.
14. Evaluate priorities across rig platforms and liaise with relevant stakeholders ensuring work carried out meets operational requirements.
15. Liaise with Asset Manager and / or Operations Superintendent regarding technical aspects of work.
16. Ensure all welding activity required by the rig is fulfilled.
17. Ensure all welding tools and consumable are sufficiently stocked up.
18. Able to work as a leasehand at the rig site and general helper at the yard when required.
19. Ensure all welds has no defects, porosity, arc strike and etc.
20. Ensure electrode is dry and heated up before use.
21. Ensure the right electrode is used at all times, SS for stainless steel and so forth. Skill requirement: Certified Welder Level 6G

Basic Salary: B$ 60 / Day
