Position: Welder (Piping) - SS/DSS
Total Vacancy: 4 Male

Job Requirements:

- Experience min 6 to 8 years , provide current welder qualification certs, welder ID card and TBOSIT.

i. He shall report directly to the Welding Supervisor.

ii. He shall be responsible for carrying out the following disciplines:- All types of structural welding on offshore projects. All types of process pipe work and fittings with grades of steel varying from API 5L Grade B through to API 5L X65 inclusive. In accordance with ASME IX & BSP-12-S-601 , for TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding procedure. The test must be carried out in the 6G positions.

iii. He shall be familiar with BSP specification and BSP-12-S-601 & ASME B31. 3 and have passed a 6G welding test in accordance with BSP procedures.

iv. To carry out his work he needs to be familiar with the full range of piping and pipe fittings used in the oil industry and the various techniques required to weld them. He must also be aware of the piping pressure classification used.

v. The welder is responsible for the Fit-up tack welding, pre-heating (if acquired) and welding out full joint. For complex fits-up he will have pipe lifter to assist him. He shall carry/pull his own welding and cutting leads, electrodes and tools to the work place. After welding power brush to be done all around welding .

vi. He shall be solely responsible for his welding EQUIPMENT and tools on a platform at all times. He is required to keep his works area clean and clear at all times, between changing works sites and at the end of shifts. When necessary he will have a rigger to help him. He shall be required to work as a leave relief or as back up additional crew for offshore-based work.
