Description
Min. 3 years’ experience in similar functions. Experience in customs related issues are desired.
Good knowledge of MS-Office.
Excellent communication skills are mandatory.
Ability to work in teams as well as autonomously.
Ability to work in international environment with different nationalities and cultures.
The Import Coordinator supports the side materials manager and the construction manager and has a support function towards the Project-Logistics-Forwarder’s nominated customs broker and contractors for all issues related to import and export customs-clearance.
Activities are performed safely and in compliance with the applicable project OSH policy, local laws and statutory requirements, such as guidelines or directives.
Coordinates Imports of Contractors Materials and Equipment in close cooperation with CM up to Job-Site.
Provides support to Contractor for Import Issues
Provides support for Project Forwarders Customs-Broker (support Letters, Import Licenses).
Coordinates and supports Import of Contractor’s equipment.
Provides supporting letter from client (if needed).
Monitors Contractor’s Imports against a pre-defined List (to be provided by CM).
Follows up Contractor’s Import of temporary equipment and monitors timely reexport or extension of temporary imports.
Liaises with customs-broker and Contractor to solve any import queries.
Supports processing of Import Licenses (if needed).
Monitors and follows up Import of the purchased equipment and material.
Any other tasks that are assigned by Line Manager / Site Manager / Management.
