Vacancy position : Learning Support Assistant
 

Key Responsibilities:
 Support the delivery of early intervention programs designed by the Speech and Language Therapist.
 Work with individual children or small groups to reinforce communication, play, and social interaction goals.
 Implement visual supports, routines, and structured play activities.
 Assist in observing and tracking developmental progress in areas such as speech, attention, and play.
 Provide feedback to the SLT and therapy team on children’s engagement and progress.
 Help prepare and maintain a child-friendly, sensory-aware learning environment.
 Support children during transitions and group sessions with a calm and consistent approach.

Essential Skills and Qualities:
 Experience working with or supporting young children, ideally in early childhood, Special Education Needs, or therapeutic
settings.
 A warm, patient, and responsive approach to supporting communication and learning.
 Excellent observation and listening skills.
 Willingness to learn and apply therapy-led strategies under guidance from the SLT.
 Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:
 Experience supporting children with speech and language delay, autism, or other developmental needs.
 Familiarity with early intervention strategies and tools.
 Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
 Qualification in Childcare, Childhood Education, Teaching Assistant, or equivalent.
