Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of early intervention programs designed by the Speech and Language Therapist.
Work with individual children or small groups to reinforce communication, play, and social interaction goals.
Implement visual supports, routines, and structured play activities.
Assist in observing and tracking developmental progress in areas such as speech, attention, and play.
Provide feedback to the SLT and therapy team on children’s engagement and progress.
Help prepare and maintain a child-friendly, sensory-aware learning environment.
Support children during transitions and group sessions with a calm and consistent approach.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
Experience working with or supporting young children, ideally in early childhood, Special Education Needs, or therapeutic
settings.
A warm, patient, and responsive approach to supporting communication and learning.
Excellent observation and listening skills.
Willingness to learn and apply therapy-led strategies under guidance from the SLT.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
Experience supporting children with speech and language delay, autism, or other developmental needs.
Familiarity with early intervention strategies and tools.
Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
Qualification in Childcare, Childhood Education, Teaching Assistant, or equivalent.
