Telemetry Engineer

Description

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor`s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or Telecommunications Engineering.

Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial telemetry systems, particularly within oil & gas or utilities environments.

Platform Experience:
- Experience with Motorola ACE3600 RTUs, Motorola MOSCAD, or similar SCADA/telemetry platforms used in pipeline or production monitoring; familiarity with MODBUS, DNP3, or IEC 60870 communication protocols.

SCADA & RTU Configuration:
- Proficient in configuring and maintaining Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), SCADA systems, and associated communication interfaces for telemetry data acquisition and transmission; able to perform data point mapping and logic programming.

Fault Diagnosis & Restoration:
- Ability to perform detailed fault diagnosis across the full telemetry chain (sensor-to-RTU-to-SCADA), isolate faults to subsystem level, and restore services within contracted response time objectives.

Integration:
- Competence in integrating telemetry systems with existing SCADA
infrastructure, communication networks (radio, fibre, leased line),
and site instrumentation, ensuring signal integrity and data accuracy.
